Taaj Indian Restaurant & Takeaway Magherafelt

We collected a takeaway from Taaj and the food was excellent. We ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and pilau rice, all of which were full of flavour and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The standard of the food was very high throughout. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

If looking for a delicious meal in magherafelt this is the best place. If you're a vegetarian like me there is lots of choice. I had paneer makhni and my sister in law had the chicken korma pictured (loads more chicken than pictured). We both had peshwari naan's very nice.

You get a lot of food you couldn't walk out saying you were hungry. Prices are reasonable.


I have had take away from here but it's just not the same as dinning in, still very good. Service was fast and very friendly not rushing you out the door once finished. Highly recommend.

Delicious food in a lovely restaurant. Lamb biryani was excellent.

Also the staff were just Lovely. Michelle our waitress was excellent. Very efficient and friendly. Holly was also excellent. Lovely vibe to the restaurant

A really authentic Indian with a lovely atmosphere. Lots of choices with friendly staff to help you navigate your spice levels.

The mixed meat platters are simply incredible, with a choice of sauces.

I love the peshwari nann. (sorry for any spelling). It's light and not too heavy or sweet.

Amazing food, super friendly staff, michelle was very quick to help us with food choices, we tried a different dish and have found a new go to meal. Delicious! Highly recommend!

We have had a lovely evening. Great service and our waiter gave brilliant recommendations for our order. The food was delicious and the brambles were lovely.
