Amazing food. One of the best meals I’ve had for a very long time. Their spicy dip with the poppadoms is out of this world. The lamb special curry had a real depth and complexity. Highly recommend The Taaj Magherafelt

Highly recommend this place. We tried quite a few dishes and was amazing. Sandeep and the staff were all amazing. Very helpful, recommended great dishes, and gave us a sample that was amazing. If you're looking for Indian food in the area, come by here. Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Follow Up: Came back for the Wednesday Curry Tasting Evening and was better than the first time we came. Service was still incredibly amazing and Sandeep was outstanding. Still highly recommend you come here if you're looking for Indian food. You will not be disappointed.

Went tues 6th August 24, with my eldest children, my daughters first ever Indian, she loved it, when back over in Ireland will pop in again

We were in mid-week for the early bird menu. This place is so good. The quality of the food is just perfection. I would recommend anyone to come and try it out especially mid-week for their offers. We will definitely be back!!

Sandeep took care of us. He was very nice. He helped us with our order. He gave very good suggestions. The chicken Tikka Masala was very yummy. Everything was wonderful.

2nd visit here, albeit a few years apart, the last time I visited was just after lockdown (I live in England) The staff are great, very attentive and friendly The food is awesome, I really enjoyed it last time, hence my visit tonight. I wasn’t disappointed and, after a recommendation, I know what I’ll be having the next time I visit well worth the visit, you won’t be disappointed

Myself and my fiancé went here for a lovely dinner last night, we dine out in Indian restaurants a lot in Belfast and came up to magherafelt for a visit. Lovely decor and ambience in the restaurant. Staff were pleasant and attentive. The food was absolutely superb. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and my fiancé ordered the monkfish balti. The garlic and coriander naan was to die for!! Will definitely be back when we are back in Magherafelt!!

Food absolutely delicious, staff went over and above to make my birthday special, highly recommend, we'll worth a visit, we will be back soon.

The Taaj is a must eat at restaurant. The decor and art is lovely and the food is great. The staff are friendly and when you enter you can already smell the spices. The atmosphere is fantastic but the seats are not the most comfortable but its not going to affect my rating.

I've never had a bad meal from the Taaj, beautiful authentic Indian food, staff are always fast and efficient and friendly. I'm not a big drinker but a lot of friends love their cocktails too

Food was just wow and mouth watering. One of the best places in magherafelt to have a nice Indian food.

Had a delicious meal here at the weekend! Great selection of drinks and cocktails, large selection of dishes! Highly recommend as a regular, butter chicken is a must try!!

Second time visiting here and it has improved so much. Loads of Veggie friendly options, staff offered to alter dishes to vegan also (the waitress made sure yoghurt and milk were removed from our sauce, the taste was still amazing). It is so hard to find nice vegetarian food in Magherafelt which is not a lasagne or burger, so I was so impressed with taaj's multiple interesting options. Can't wait to go back, I recommend the Veggie share platter if your going as a couple!

I order from tajj once every 2/3 weeks and the team always provide the best dishes and portion sizing with excellent customer service

The service was outstanding in warm cozy and romantic atmosphere .We had Butter Chicken , mutton roganjosh and it was so yummy n flavorful .Chefs special Balti is also a must try and this will capture your taste buds We enjoyed the vegetarian and non-vegetarian entree with fresh Tandoori Naan bread and basmati rice. We highly recommend this place to everyone.
